Hiking
Family hikes and guided hikes in the Nockberge Biosphere Park or mountain tours in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Many hiking opportunities await our guests in our surroundings.

Cycling
One guided bike tour per week on the most beautiful cycle paths in Upper Carinthia, climbing in the Malta Valley or a visit to the high ropes course on the Katschberg - you'll never be bored on your vacation!
Swimming
On hot days, the Millstättersee lake (20 minutes away) or a visit to the family outdoor pool in Gmünd (free admission for our guests) are tempting.
Canyoning
The particularly daring canyoners can tackle the Göss Falls in the Malta Valley on a canyoning tour.
Climbing in the Malta Valley
The via ferrata leads up Carinthia's highest waterfall with plenty of air underfoot, breathtaking views and perspectives.
The via ferrata is only recommended for experienced via ferrata climbers, despite the excellent double rope protection.
For the children in the hotel
Where children's hearts beat faster and a day can never be long enough! A summer vacation at the small family hotel Koch offers your children variety all day long.
A large garden with sandpit, swing, slide, various play equipment and a petting garden with rabbits awaits our younger guests. A children's paddling pool provides refreshment.
Sports activities for younger guests
Table tennis, table football, two children's playrooms in the hotel and a variety of board and card games ensure that boredom doesn't stand a chance, even in bad weather. A highlight is the evening football match - where the new talents of the national team are discovered.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, children can give their parents the day off and are looked after by us free of charge. The rangers of the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve look forward to discovering nature with your children once a week.

City of artists Gmünd
As well as a fantastic selection of excursion destinations for the children, there are also many attractions to explore and enjoy in the surrounding area. The medieval town of Gmünd, also known as the artists' town, is home to many art exhibitions and galleries. Sit back and enjoy the atmosphere in one of the inviting cafés.

Popular excursion destinations
The Nockalm Road and the Kölnbreinsperre dam are just some of the most popular sights in the area. A day trip to the city of Klagenfurt with its beautiful Lake Wörthersee is only an hour's drive away. The popular town of Villach is only 45 minutes away.
Live music & comedy
The Music Weeks take place in Millstatt in July and August. Comedy lovers get their money's worth at the annual comedy plays at Porcia Castle in Spittal.
